The product exists because location history is meaningful but difficult to understand in a raw JSON export. The visualizer keeps the useful path short: open a file locally, select a period, preview the route, and create an MP4 without making an account.
The core parsing, camera, map rendering, and MP4 work is based on the MIT-licensed google-timeline-visualizer project by mahlernim. This site maintains its own design, content, locale research, privacy explanations, and deployment. The original copyright and license are preserved in the repository and notices.
